A Personal Anthology: This online project exists in the first instance as weekly Substack email, sent out on Friday afternoon. Each week a guest is invited to pick and introduce twelve of their favourite short stories and, where possible, link to them online. Since starting in 2017 the project has featured over 250 guest editors picking over 3,000 short stories written by over 1,400 different authors. Click here to sign up for the mailout. Reading the Short Story: A blog curated by Charles E. May and focusing on short fiction. The last entry was posted in 2021 and the website remains a great resource, with over 3 million visits.

The New Yorker Fiction Podcast: A monthly reading and conversation with The New Yorker’s fiction editor, Deborah Treisman. Access it here.

A Small, Good Thing is a podcast about the short story form that features interviews with writers, academics, publishers and short story enthusiasts. New episodes are released every 3 weeks on Thursdays and are available on Spotify, Apple Podcast, Spreaker and all major podcast platforms. Everyone is welcome get involved by pitching ideas for new episodes. If are a writer or publisher with new work coming out, or if you research (or are passionate about) a particular author, genre, or any aspect of the short story, do get in touch at smallgoodpodcast@gmail.com.
