Event: Flash in Translation Workshop Series May 2026

The ENSFR and PesText International Literary and Cultural Festival jointly organise a workshop series over the week of May 4, 2026. The event brings together student and more experienced writers from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the UK and Austria. In preparation for the event, participants wrote a piece of flash fiction about “City and Nature” and will continue to work on their texts in groups during the workshop days.

Three online workshops are open to the interested public:

• Reading and Development Workshop on May 6: 11 am CET / 10 am UK time
o Participants share and discuss their work
o Writer’s Reading

• Development and Translation Workshop on May 7: 12 pm CET / 11 am UK time
o Continues the previous workshop with a focus on translation Development Of Writer’s Ideas with Actors

• Open Performance Workshop on May 8: 4 pm CET / 3 pm UK Time
o Short performances and improvisations based on the flash fiction submissions
o Performances of Writer’s work
