Entry to the competition is £10.00 per story.

There are a limited amount of free spaces for writers on a low income, please email enquiries@bricklanebookshop.org to request one of these – they will be granted on a first come basis. We also ask that you let us know if you are a UK or Irish resident.

First Prize is £1,000, 2nd Prize is £500, and 3rd Prize is £250.

The twelve shortlisted stories will feature in the Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize 2026 anthology, which will be released in October.
