ENSFR Event: Short Story Anthologies Roundtable
November 16 @ 18 h 00 min - 19 h 00 min

This ENSFR event brings together leading voices in contemporary short‑story scholarship. Chaired by Elke D’hoker, this session features Paul Delaney (Trinity College, Ireland) and Aleix Tura‑Vecino (University of Glasgow, UK), both of whom have recently published major studies on the short‑story anthology: Anthologisation and Irish Short Fiction: Magnitudes of Telling (Routledge 2025) and The Short Story Anthology and Women’s Writing (Routledge 2025).
Each speaker will discuss the research behind their books — from the evolution of anthology practices to the cultural, political and editorial questions that shape how short stories are collected and presented. Together, the panel will explore current debates in anthology studies and reflect on where the field is heading.
